One of our largest projects over the past few years included nearly five-hundred feet of reclaimed granite curbing and a very unique set of granite steps.
This was done by a good friend of our Josh. Reclaimed granite was used as the walking surface combined with a concrete circle kit , used cobblestones and a bluestone inlay salvaged from Amherst, Ma. What a package!

These posts were carefully salvaged from a home in Harmonyville, RI.
They are some of the oldest pieces we have. They were split on the property in the late 1700’s. The iron is still in place on many of the posts.

This is a great use of reclaimed granite foundation sills. The mason fabricated them into one of a kind pieces. The natural grain of the stone is highlighted.
We have granite available in many colors to fit the design and stlye.
It was wonderful working with this client in Lancaster, Ma. Both the homeowner and mason we eager to get to work using reclaimed granite from the Millbury Estate.
Many of the steps used in the project were over eight feet long with some as long as ten, eleven and twelve feet.

This stone has been sorted and palletized as a square and rectangular veneer. The client was interested in using the stones as quoins in a stone veneer.
We have dozens of pallets ready to be shipped out. Our stone is packaged in 3000lb pallets and hand selected for its uniformity.
Here are some great color swatches of granite in our yard. The blue/grey stone came from Charlton, Ma while the rust tones are on a stone from Grafton, Ma.

We are currently sorting stones and loading dumpsters, pallets and trucks. Our Charlton yard is home to thousands of pieces of granite and hundreds of granite steps. These are some of our smaller three and four foot pieces. These two stones measure almost ten feet across. They both have unique blue tones. The squarer of the two stones was salvaged from the Millbury Residence. It was a stone used in a roof of a cellar entrance. These are ideal for landings or center pieces for a natural flagging patio. Contact us today if you are interested in any type of natural stone.
We have access to sixty tons of oversized rustic stone slabs. These slabs have iron deposits which give them their red tones. These stones are NOT brittle and soft. These stones along with hundreds of tons of others were salvaged from a mill building in Auburn, Ma. The building was built in 1903 and housed a chain manufacturer. We have hundreds of unique elements from the building including granite lintels, keystones, trimstones and more.

This foundation stone was salvaged from a project on Route 67 in Warren, Ma. It is being reused as a step. We have a great inventory of colonial and turn of the century granite products. We were able to salvage all of the granite material from this turn of the century home in Leominster. Included in the inventory – large granite steps, dimensional square and rectangle veneer (20 tons), as well as stair treads and ornate coping stones. We recently created four matching hitching posts for a customer. These stones measured 48″ long and were roughly 6″ square. We installed the hitching rings as well. This pile was intimidating to say the least. With over three thousand feet of stone in one pile it took nearly three weeks to sort and truck back to our yard. Most of the stones were in excess of seven feet and weighed close to 2000 or more pounds each. We were so fortunate to buy this granite. It was our first salvage attempt with this much material. This is a great example of Generation One Curbing being used alongside a driveway. This home was built in the late 1700’s and required an authentic but functional installation. We used 5.5″ x 16″ x 36″ pieces of curb to dress the outer edge. The curbing also returned along side the walkway reinforcing the Boston City Hall Pavers.
These fence posts were split using our Millyard Granite Stock. Our inventory allows us to create dozens of matching posts for any masonry or landscaping application.

These are great examples of our larger slab stock that was salvaged from the Millbury Estate. These stones were the roof of the cellar hole and within the walls of the foundation.

These stones were taken from our Reclaimed New England Granite Curb. The overall lengths were 48″-56″ . Although many of these stones had natural, rougher edges, the horizontal surfaces were smooth and ideal for stepping.

These pieces of granite helped to support the raised patio. It was also used beneath the inner edge, under the fieldstone, to provide a rigid edge for pavers to be installed against.
This granite curbing was repurposed as a driveway and walkway edge in West Brookfield, Ma.

This is a project done two years ago and one we are still very proud of. This stone was milled down to the required thickness and all came from one piece of stone.
The stock came from a farm in New Ipswich, NH. It had earth brown tones with silver and black flecks lightly throughout the grain.

We created these posts for a customer of the past two years. These stones have a wavy black/blue/white grain. This stone is easily workable although the grain is not consistent. We have oversizes inventory of this stock left. Many of the pieces are over 8′ long and can be worked down to multiple posts.

Hello everyone! I am happy…and sad, to say that we’ve found a home for these two beautiful pieces of granite. They have been in our inventory for almost three years. I have passed up many offers knowing one day both posts would be used side by side and not split up. I will be sure to have pictures of the installation when it is complete.

Here is a perfect example of a reclaimed granite step.

These are two four foot pieces of granite that came from a salvaged railroad bridge.
The granite is very flat and has clean corners.
The second step would sit behind the first taking full advantage of the 19″ tread. The edges of these stones all for perfect alignment.
We will be using the same Railyard Granite Stock to split into fillers to support the second step. We will use traditional methods of splitting and finishing the stones. We also will be cleaning off any risidual building debris.
These steps were salvaged from an old bank in Spencer.
They measure 108″ long x 16″ wide x 7″ tall. They were hand tooled and split over one hundred years ago.
We recently split three posts using our Milford Granite Stock. The posts were oversized measuring 8″-10″ square and 72″ long. These posts were used to dress the edge of a drive way. Our salvaged stone is carefully fabricated using the traditional methods of drilling and splitting.
